Seventeen- year old Ishant Pundir from Nahan, Himachal Pradesh invented a robot named Asper which can replace waiters.
Asper, which he claims to be the first ever artificial intelligence (AI) enabled personal assistant robot, took him six prototypes and one year after dropping out of school, to create.
While studying in class 11, he started working on a project which could take instructions in human language on how a person feels, detect symptoms of the disease and send alerts to loved ones and doctors.
Asper will be launched soon in restaurants to work as waiters. It is a wireless device which will move around, take orders and send them to the kitchen. Based on the feedback, Asper will be developed further.
He has been invited by IIT-Delhi to display his project in its Pan IIT-alumni meet.
Pundir may have dropped out of school, but he continues to educate himself through online courses such as robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning.
