Programme ‘Heritage India’ launched to connect students to homeland

An Indian-American organisation has announced a scholarship programme under the title ‘Heritage India’. The scholarship aims to connect high school American students of Indian descent to their motherland.
The three-week scholarship programme aims to build connections and enhance relations between India and their diaspora population. Eight high school students will receive fully-funded scholarships to participate in the programme with the theme ‘India’s Riches: History, Culture, Diversity and Democracy’.
The programme is open to high school students between ages 15-18 at the time of their travel to India. Heritage India will take place from July 10 – August 10. The students will visit three areas of India- Delhi, Gujarat and Kerela, which are geographically and culturally diverse.
Heritage India will be supervised by Sridar Iyengar, an independent mentor investor in early -stage start-ups and former chairman and CEO of KPMG India, who has created youth immersion programmess for a diverse group of students through his non-profit organisation, 360+.
