Rashmi Furtado

Rashmi is a charismatic leader with a lot of passion for education and children, in particular. She has been in the education space for over a decade. She was a lecturer at the prestigious National Institute of Technology Surathkal, which is also her alma-mater. During her early years with Greycaps, she was instrumental in the publishing of the Leadership handbook, which garnered a lot of praise including our former President Dr. Abdul Kalam.

She is also a passionate writer, author and poet. She is the Co-Founder and Senior Editor of TeacherTribe.world, India’s first portal and currently India’s most read magazine for teachers. She is presently the only professional woman quiz host in Asia. Having hosted over a 300-shows in 40 cities of India and overseas she enjoys a large fan following especially with school and college students. She is noted for co-hosting the famous Tata Crucible quiz, TAPMI’s Quiz on the Beach, Thomas Cook Travel Quest, UpGrad STEM Quiz, the World Teachers’ Quiz and quizzes for corporates like TCS, Cognizant, Tata AIA, Mindtree and Bharat Petroleum to name a few.

• She was recognised as one among 40 under 40 by exchange4media in association with Business World.
• In 2020, she became the first woman to host quiz shows digitally and has hosted more than a 100 exclusive digital quiz shows during the pandemic.
• She has received several awards like the EXEMPLARY LEADER IN EDUCATION AWARD 2020 at the International Inspirational Women Awards.
• Specially invited as a recognition of being a woman quiz host, by IIT IIM Alumni association of Kuwait for a quiz there.
• She has received the award of ICONIC WOMEN CREATING A BETTER WORLD FOR ALL 2020 by the Women Economic Forum.
